It will not receive the correct credentials from the new modem as things stand now. Trying to change the AirPort to Bridge Mode won't work. If you have simply connected the AirPort to the "new" modem, the AirPort is remembering the old settings and still looking for your "old" modem. The AirPort was originally programmed with settings to connect to your "old" modem or gateway. My Airport connected to the new modem from Xfinity with an ethernet cable is not routing the signal as it did with an earlier one. the AirPort will need to be reset using a Hard Reset or Factory Default Reset and then set up again from scratch.
